Reviewers Guidelines
Peer Review Policy
All manuscripts submitted to JDIEF are subjected to double‑blind peer review. The identities of both reviewers and authors remain undisclosed to each other, ensuring objectivity, confidentiality, and fairness throughout the review process.
Reviewers are encouraged to consult the COPE Ethical Guidelines for Peer Reviewers to provide high‑quality, unbiased reports.
Key Aspects to Consider
When reviewing manuscripts, reviewers should evaluate the following:
- Originality of Results
- The manuscript must present original and authentic work.
- Plagiarism or previously published material is not acceptable.
- Experiments and Analyses
- Research methods and analyses must meet recognized technical standards.
- Procedures, data, and statistical methods should be described in sufficient detail to allow reproducibility.
- Interpretation of Results
- Authors must interpret findings comprehensively and appropriately.
- Incomplete or misleading interpretations may lead to rejection.
- Language and Presentation
- Manuscripts should be written in clear, grammatically correct English.
- Reviewers may recommend professional editing if necessary.
- Ethics in Research
- Studies involving human or animal subjects must comply with international ethical standards.
- Authors must provide evidence of ethical approval and informed consent where applicable.
- Reporting Guidelines and Data Standards
- Manuscripts should follow relevant reporting guidelines (e.g., CONSORT, STROBE, EQUATOR).
- Data should be deposited in recognized repositories when applicable.
Reviewer Responsibilities
- Provide constructive, objective, and timely feedback.
- Assess whether the manuscript is comprehensive and understandable.
- Verify that adequate evidence supports the authors’ claims.
- Evaluate whether methodology is sufficiently detailed for replication.
- Recommend improvements where necessary.
Use of AI in Peer Review
Reviewers must not use generative AI or AI‑assisted technologies to produce review reports, as this may compromise confidentiality and integrity.
Confidentiality
The peer review process is strictly confidential. Reviewers must not share manuscripts or discuss their content with others without prior permission from the Editor‑in‑Chief.
